Led by the motto ‘You Are Never Too Old’, Aarhus, Denmark will host the European Masters Athletics Championships (EMACS) from July 27-August 6, 2017.
More than 4,000 contestants from more than 40 countries will visit the city to test their limits at EMACS, competing in all athletics disciplines. It’s a great way to experience the fantastic things Aarhus and Denmark have to offer – especially during the year of European Capital of Culture. During EMACS, everyone can experience the entertaining competitions taking place at the two stadiums, and also join in several cultural side events.
Registration is now open online at www.emacs2017.com.
Together with the registration, it will be possible to buy one of the attractive tickets to the athletes party called “Together with (Aarh)us” during EMACS. Tickets availability will be limited, and the organizers of EMACS 2017 expect to have sold out long time before the registration deadline.
“We have received many request for registration to EMACS 2017. Every week we receive several e-mails from people ready to register. We have therefore decided to open already now – even though there is still many months to go! Based on our research and the conversations with EMA, it seems like EMACS in Aarhus may be the biggest ever EMACS, so it is important for us to secure easy access to registration long time ahead of the competition. Already now, we see a lot of hotel bookings, and within a few weeks, the first couple of hotels will start to be sold out. Therefor we advise athletes to book early this time”, says head of event, Mikkel Larsen.
Registration deadline will be June 18 2017 and all athletes are encouraged to register as soon as possible as no late entries will be accepted.
